Working with a growing family of five, the brief called for improved connectivity between living spaces, greater access to natural light, and smarter storage solutions to support the demands of daily life with three young children. The design centred on extending both the lower and upper ground floors at the rear, enabling a generous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living area, framed by floor-to-ceiling glass doors and a large rooflight that floods the space with daylight and opens the home to the garden.
These new visual and physical connections to the outdoors introduce a sense of nature into the heart of the home, enhancing wellbeing and offering a rare sense of calm in the midst of a vibrant city.
Upstairs, the reconfigured layout allowed for an expanded master bedroom with improved views and a sense of retreat. The family bathroom was reshaped to accommodate the clients’ evolving needs, while bespoke joinery throughout the home ensures storage is both plentiful and discreet.
The result is a contemporary, well-balanced space that supports everyday life with clarity and warmth.
